Ingredients: 1/2 lb cleaned squid tubes 1 cup 'Golden Dipt' breading 1/2 cup "Golden Dipt" clam fry 1 TBS Garlic Powder (or to taste) 1 tsp lemon pepper 1 TBS "Old Bay" seasoning 1 tsp cayenne pepper 2 cups buttermilk Enough oil for deep frying Lime wedges and cocktail sauce for dipping Combine all dry ingredients. Preheat oil to 325 - 350 degrees. Clean the squid tubes (if they are not already cleaned) by removing the 'wings' and inner cartilage; discard (The tentacles, if any, are edible and can be prepared using this same method) Cut the squid tubes into 1/2 inch rings. Discard the ends.Rinse the rings to remove any left over cartilage. Marinate in the buttermilk for about 15 minutes. Remove from buttermilk and coat evenly in the breading mixture. Deep fry in oil until golden brown, about 2 - 3 minutes. "Serve with with lime and cocktail sauce"
